Welcome to Old Town Restaurant

Old town restaurant is a family run restaurant located at the entrance to Old Town, in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. We are only a five-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Courtyard Theatre and Civic Hall, making us a perfect choice for a pre-theatre meal.

Bella, Harvey, Mike & Ruby still own & operate the restaurant & will continue to offer fresh, seasonal British cuisine alongside fresh fish & seafood specials.
After 3 years of operating as “Russons Restaurant”, we feel the time has come for us to develop our own identity. We feel that the name “Old Town Restaurant” is a better representation of the business, in both terms of its location and the Grade II Listed building it is housed in.
 

The Restaurant
This Grade II Listed building dates back to the early 1700’s and is divided into two rooms, both featuring original wooden beams, flagstone floors and inglenook fireplaces. The restaurant has been simply furnished and prints of the local area and Shakespearean plays adorn the walls giving the restaurant both warmth and character.

Mother and daughter team Bella and Ruby, run the front of house operations and offer a professional and friendly service. Whilst Ruby’s husband, Head Chef Mike, runs the kitchen, preparing mouth-watering dishes using fresh seasonal produce.

Our Food
The style of food is best described as British and the A La Carte menu is updated seasonally. Fresh Fish & Seafood is the specialty here and we offer at least five different dishes every day. We also offer a Fixed Price menu perfect for lunch and pre-theatre meals. Produce is sourced from local suppliers wherever possible and all our fish & seafood is delivered to us on a daily basis ensuring the highest quality of fresh produce.
